Suzanne Perez is a 25-year-old Filipina-American whose purpose in life is to make a positive impact in society.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Eastern New Mexico University. Her desire to become a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist stems from her belief that communication is a human right and that everyone deserves to have their voice heard, regardless of the barriers that might be placed upon them. 

Her passion for helping others shines through her acts of community service. Suzanne is an advocate for disability rights and has even spent time in her home country, the Philippines, fundraising and visiting special needs orphanages, speaking on the Senate floor, and overall creating a safe space where they feel loved and accepted. 

Aside from that passion, Suzanne loves to spend all her free time outdoors exploring the Land of Enchantment, trying out new restaurants, and curling up with her fur baby at home.

As the current Miss New Mexico USA, Suzanne hopes to continue the work she is doing for disability rights and awareness by working closely with non-profit organizations all throughout New Mexico. Her main purpose is to empower and inspire everyone she encounters.
